Education and Celebration
Whether you're a teacher looking for a field trip location or a craftsperson with a skill to share, Lily Springs Farm can host you. Students can explore a variety of environments to learn about native plants, soil health, pollinators, and healthy movement. Use our renovated barn, farmhouse kitchen, and granary for workshops about yoga, fermentation, art, seed saving, and more. We love to host retreats, film and music festivals, and charity fundraisers, too! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss scheduling, activities, and prices.
School groups and camps
For students from kindergarten through college, we can provide a unique educational experience at Lily Springs. Opt for a full farm tour via tractor or time spent focusing on specific topics related to your curriculum. For summer camps, we can conduct healthy movement lessons and let kids explore the lake, forest, and fields. Hands-on activities like making native wildflower seed-bombs are always a hit, or ask us to coordinate educational talks with local experts on honey bees, livestock management, herbal medicine, and more.
Workshops and classes
Lily Springs staff and guest instructors periodically host events focused on specific skills, agricultural philosophies, and wellness practices. Past workshops have covered topics such as mushroom foraging, natural medicine making, food preservation, bird identification, and soil restoration. Interested in a particular topic? Contact us for information on tours specific to agroforestry design, rotational grazing, pollinator habitat design, and more.
Educational opportunities at Lily Springs are not just for students - our tours and workshops can be geared toward environmental educators, agricultural workers, and land owners interested in holistic land management. Because our project is primarily a research and demonstration farm, we want to share the methods we are currently testing for livestock management, multi-species orchard design, and other unconventional strategies.
large scale events
Whether it be a weekend yoga workshop, a benefit festival, or a team retreat, our facilities can accommodate a variety of larger groups and events. The renovated barn can be adapted to suit your needs for exercise, dining, lectures, meetings and more. Camping for up to 50 tents is available across the grounds. On-site parking, kitchen facilities, and presentation space make it easy to host a full-service event. The sauna, kayaks and paddleboards, forest trails, and farm tour options are added delights for guests. Check out our upcoming events here!
